Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

The privacy of your data, and it is your data, not ours, is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.

When we say "Proghit", "we", "our" or "us", we mean Proghit Inc., a New York corporation. This policy covers our website at txtping.com, our contact and sign-up forms, and our email-to-text service, TxtPing (together, the "Services").

1. What we collect and why

Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what that means in practice:

Identity and access

When you sign up for TxtPing or join our early access list, we ask for identifying information such as your name, email address and, if you want text messages, your mobile phone number. That's so we can set up your account, send you the texts you ask for, and send you product updates and other essential information. We'll never sell your personal information to third parties, and we won't use your name in marketing statements without your permission either.

Product interactions

We store the content you send to or set up in TxtPing, such as emails you forward to your private TxtPing address (including the sender, subject, text and pictures), reminders you set, and the texts you send us, such as an email you write by text, a budget number or a grocery order. This is so we can carry out what you ask and deliver your messages as intended. We never connect to your email inbox; we only see what you send us. We remove links from forwarded emails before we text them.

Text message records

When you opt in to text messages, we keep a record of your consent: the date and time, the page you used, and the exact words you agreed to. We also keep records of opt-outs and of the delivery of the texts we send. We need these records to honor your choices and to show phone companies that you asked for our messages.

General geolocation data

We log the IP address used to submit our forms and to sign in, and we keep this for security and fraud prevention purposes.

Website interactions

Our servers keep basic logs, such as your browser type, IP address and the pages you visited, to keep the site working and secure. We do not run advertising, we do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not use third-party analytics.

Voluntary correspondence

When you send us a message through our contact form with a question or to ask for help, we keep that correspondence, including your email address, so that we have a history of past correspondence to reference if you reach out in the future.

2. Text messages (SMS and MMS)

If you check the text message box when you sign up, you agree to receive text messages from TxtPing at the phone number you provided. We send only what you ask for: emails you forward to your private address (sent as SMS or MMS, with links removed), confirmations and replies for emails you send by text, reminders you set, replies to text commands you send (such as budget summaries, package tracking and grocery order updates), account notifications and sign-in codes. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

We collect your mobile phone number and your consent only to send you the text messages you asked for.

No phone/mobile number information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

More details are in our SMS Terms.

3. When we access or disclose your information

To provide products or services you've requested. We use some third-party service providers to help run our Services, such as web hosting and email delivery. They may use your information only to do that work for us.

At your direction. We may disclose your information when you ask us to. For example, when you text us an email to send, we send it to the address you choose, and when you ask us to place an order, we share the order details with the store you pick. We share only what is needed to do what you asked.

No Proghit human looks at your content except for limited purposes, for example, if an error occurs that stops an automated process from working and requires manual intervention to fix.

To help you troubleshoot or squash a software bug, with your permission. If at any point we need to access your content to help you with a support case, we will ask for your consent before proceeding.

To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding misuse. If we discover you are using our Services for spam, fraud or another unlawful purpose, we will take action as necessary, including notifying appropriate authorities where warranted.

When required under applicable law. Proghit Inc. is a U.S. company. Our policy is to not respond to government requests for user data unless we are compelled by legal process or in limited circumstances in the event of an emergency request.

Finally, if Proghit Inc. is acquired by or merges with another company, we'll notify you well before any of your personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Your rights with respect to your information

We strive to apply the same data rights to everyone, regardless of their location. Some of these rights include:

To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text from us. For any other request, send us a message on our contact page. We may need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, such as confirming your name and email address.

5. How we secure your data

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to run the Services.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time for which we retain information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and your choices, after which time we may delete and/or aggregate it. We may also retain and use this information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Emails you forward to TxtPing are kept only as long as needed to deliver them and fix delivery problems. Opt-in and opt-out records are kept as long as needed to honor your choices and meet legal and phone company rules.

7. Children

Our Services are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child gave us information, let us know and we will delete it.

8. Location of site and data

Our Services are operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

9. Changes and questions

We may update this policy as needed to comply with relevant regulations and reflect any new practices. Whenever we make a significant change to our policies, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and take any other appropriate steps to notify users.

Have any questions, comments, or concerns about this privacy policy, your data, or your rights with respect to your information? Please get in touch through our contact page and we'll be happy to try to answer them!
